Dear colleagues,
AOM is about 2 weeks from now, but we would already like to point you to a hands-on follow-up: the Open Science in Management Summit, 8–9 October 2026 at VU Amsterdam. The core of the summit is the Replicatathon: two days of mentor-guided sprints designed to get participants from idea to an actual replication project, with a clear path toward publication.
Two mentor-guided tracks:
- · Track 1 - Getting started: No replication idea yet? Your mentor group helps you identify a suitable study, find collaborators, and build a project from scratch across all four sprints.
- · Track 2 – Advanced: Already have an idea or data? Get concrete methodological feedback and make real progress toward a pre-registration and study design.
Around this replicatathon, the program includes:
- · A keynote by Prof. dr. Jelte Wicherts (Tilburg University) on lessons from the replication crisis in psychology for management research
- · Presentations by Billy Obenauer, Christina Rott, and Fabiola Gerpott on registered reports, reproductions, and replications.
- · A closing editors' panel with representatives from The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management Scientific Reports, Organization Science, and Group & Organization Management
The summit is aimed primarily at PhD students and early-career scholars, though anyone interested in open science and replication is welcome. Around 40 spots are available, and participation is free.
